Repro Distributers

Taiwan was very prolific in creating repros of a large number of old glass candy containers. Most were distributed without closures or the tin parts. Some distributors did however, provide their own cardboard closures, which sometimes indicated in addition to the ingredients that they came from Taiwan and were reproductions of the earlier candy containers. Some antique dealers took this as an opportunity to throw away the boxes and closures and try to sell them for the higher sales price of an original.
